Lieutenant General Datuk Hj Ibrahim bin Hj Shahron RMAF was born in Tengkera, Malacca on March 24, 1953. He completed his secondary education at Prince Branch Royal Military College, Sungai Besi. After the end of form five, he joined the cadet training and was commissioned into the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) on October 15, 1971. With strong determination, he completed his flying course  with flying colours  in 1973.

He has served in various positions at the base of the RMAF Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, Alor Setar and the Royal Malaysian Air Force Headquarters. He also served as Commandant of the Air Force College at RMAF Alor Setar, Butterworth Air Base Commanding Officer, Commander of No. 2 Division in Labuan and as Assistant Chief of Royal Malaysian Air Force Staff Planning and Development. He also served as  Commander Air of Operations .. After that, he has been entrusted with holding the position of Chief of Staff at  Malaysian Armed Forces Headquarters.

As a pilot, he has completed more than 5000 flying  hours in which most of it were VIP and transport  aircraft  . He was a recognized flight instructor who  served as Chief Instructor at the No 1 Flying School at  Alor Setar. He has served in Namibia under the United Nations flag as an UN observer . He possesed a Diploma in Management Science and a Master of International Security and Civil Military Relations. 

Lieutenant General Datuk Haji Shahron was married to Datin Hajjah Raha bte Abdullah .  They  had two sons and two daughters. He likes to explore, take a high-powered motorcycles and playing golf.
